By now, you'll know I'm a fan of Wayne's work and consider him a trifle underrated in the overall scene. Still working half the year in Branson Missouri and half the year at home, he remains one of the most professional performers on the scene so a new album is most welcome. A new turn here though, produced by Bob Howe and Michael Vidale on a flying visit, it's a collection of classics that he has known and performed in concert for most of his life, but recorded bare, just voice and guitar, like it used to be and I'm sure it will not only appeal to his many fans, but also lovers of the old time music since Tex and many of the early performers did it just that way, voice and guitar.
