Slim Dusty Columbia Lane – The Last Sessions
The Last Sessions is the album Slim was working on when he passed away September 19 2003. Though unfinished as an album, producer Rod Coe has continued work on the seven songs Slim had recorded until they were completed, and EMI is issuing this milestone work as a specially priced album including songs from some of Slim's favourite songwriters James Blundell (Nature's Gentleman), John Dohling, Ace Fender and Don Walker (“Get Along “, which was Slim's last actual recording). Columbia Lane was Slim's nickname for his beloved home studio where all these recordings took place. It was also the name of a laneway that held special significance for Slim as it was the route he ventured down so many times, on his way to the old Regal Zonophone Recording Studios at Homebush in Sydney back in the early days of his career.
Track Listing: Blue Hills In The Distance, Rolling Down The Road, Nature’s Gentleman, Answer To Billy, Long Distance Driving, I’m Gonna Take My Dog For A Run, Get Along.
