Yet another talented graduate of the CMAA College, and good mates with fellow Territorians Sara Storer and Martin Oakes, Tom Curtain is a charismatic performer who, even before the release of his first recording, was catching the attention of industry heavyweights. A horse-breaker by profession, Tom was born and bred on a property at Kingaroy in South East Queensland, and still bases himself there between stints in the Territory. His debut album Smack Bang! Released May 2004, Contains 12 songs all written or co-written with his award-winning producer, Garth Porter, and is a strong, authentically Australian album. The first single is a rocky tribute to hard working, thirsty Australians, ‘A Man Is Not A Camel’. The album also features a duet with Sara Storer. Keep an eye out for the video on CMC.
