What a night it was. Certainly one of the highlight shows for me in January this year when the Who’s Who Of Country Music 2004 brought over 30 of Slims best known songs back to the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre stage one last time. With 33 songs performed by artists touched by Slim’s career. For me the three highlights in what was a star studded night was the James Blundell solo performance of “End of the Canning Stock Route”, the startlingly tragic arrangement of “Lights on the Hill” video’d in from Keith Urban, and the look on Paul Kelly’s face as he duets with Joy McKean on “Sunlander”. Worth the price for any one of those alone, let alone the historic recording or the benefit to the Slim Dusty Foundation. Recorded as PAL All regions.
