Produced by other former Flying Emus Mike Kerin and Michael Vidale, Showman's Daughter is a raw and authentic roots country album reminiscent of roots traditionalist Gillian Welsh. The writer credits for Showman's Daughter read like a branch of the Dusty family tree with contributions from Anne, her mother Joy McKean, her late father Slim Dusty and her son James Arneman. Also featured are songs from writers with long associations with the family: Don Walker, Bernie O'Brien and Stan Coster.
