My EP, which I released in 2007, exceeded all of my expectations. Winning a TIARA in 2008, twice being a Toyota Star Maker finalist and having my song "Best Mates" re recorded for the hit kids TV show "The Saddle Club" made me realise some things. Maybe my music wasn’t just something to be enjoyed by my friends and family, maybe the greater public could love my stories too. Then the thinking and the planning began. I’ve spent the last 18 months writing lots of songs, playing countless gigs, talking to fellow artists and saving up to fund my project. I hit the studio in June this year to record 12 of my original songs with a fantastic producer called Matt Fell. I loved what Matt had done with artists like Sara Storer and Karl Broadie so I was very pleased when he agreed to produce my first full album. It was great to finally hear my songs come to life and realise their full potential.
