One of The Family is a different kind of album for Graeme Connors, It's a magical collection that includes Christmas songs and children's songs and songs that make you feel wide-eyed and innocent. Graeme's clever songwriting is a delight for young and old, he has the ability to relate complex thoughts in simple, easy to understand lyrics. Some of the songs in this collection have been around for a while but have never fitted into the format of Graeme's previous albums. This release is just perfect for songs like "Monkey In The Family Tree" or "Greedy Guts". It has fifteen tracks including the charming "St Mary's Fair", and Graeme has written all but two of them. He has also recorded a song from one of my all time favourite writers, Shel Silverstein, called "Three Legged Man". Connors was the one responsible for the Bi-centennial anthem "We've Done Us Proud" and here he sings the anthem to end the millennium.
